Lido Gallery Has Moved: Inside Our New Costa Mesa Showroom
Lido Gallery Newport has moved from the Lido area of Newport Beach to a larger showroom at 1010 W 17th St in Costa Mesa, CA 92627. If you have been looking for a consignment store Costa Mesa homeowners and longtime Newport Beach customers can both reach easily, this is it: the same upscale furniture, antiques, original artwork, rugs and decor, now under one roof of more than 20,000 square feet. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:30pm and Sunday from noon to 5:00pm.
Whether you shopped with us for years at our old spot across from Joe’s Crab Shack or are discovering us for the first time, here is everything you need to know about the move.
Why We Moved to Costa Mesa (and Why “Newport” Is Still in Our Name)
For more than 14 years, Lido Gallery has served Orange County from the Lido area of Newport Beach. Over that time our community grew, our inventory grew, and the number of people coming through our doors grew right along with it. Today more than 1,000 customers visit the gallery every week, and new items arrive daily. Our Westside Costa Mesa showroom is built for that kind of traffic.
Costa Mesa is just one city over from our former location, so the move keeps us close to the neighborhoods we have always served, in a showroom of more than 20,000 square feet. More space means more pieces on the floor at once, room to style furniture in realistic vignettes, and easier browsing for shoppers who want to see how a dining set, a rug and a piece of art work together.
So why not change the name? Because “Lido Gallery Newport” is who we are. Our consignors, designers and regular shoppers know us by that name, and it reflects the coastal Orange County style and the quality of furnishings we are known for. The address changed; the gallery, the standards and the people behind them did not. You may also hear us called “Lido Consignment Gallery,” and that is us too.
What You’ll Find Inside the 20,000 Sq Ft Showroom
Our new Costa Mesa showroom is filled with upscale, gently used home furnishings brought in by consignors from across Orange County. Because inventory turns over quickly, the floor looks different nearly every visit. On any given day you can expect a mix of:
- Designer and high-end furniture from respected makers such as Karges, Baker, John Widdicomb, Henredon and Marge Carson, plus many more
- Antiques and vintage pieces with real craftsmanship and character
- Original artwork for living rooms, entries and offices
- Rugs in a range of sizes, styles and palettes
- Accessories and decor, from lamps and mirrors to decorative objects that finish a room
Want a preview before you visit? Browse the photo gallery on our website to get a feel for the style and quality of pieces we carry. Just remember that our best finds often sell quickly, so the showroom floor is always the most current view of what is available.

Consigning at the New Location
Our consignment process is the same simple, proven system our consignors have trusted for years. The idea is straightforward: we do all the work, and you cash the check. There are no strangers walking through your home and no unknown callers responding to classified ads.
- Email photos first. Furniture, rugs and large art need to be pre-approved, so send clear photos to consignment@lidogallerynewport.com. Smaller decor does not need pre-approval; simply pack it up clean and bring it in.
- Call ahead before delivery. Because inventory moves quickly, space changes daily. A quick call to (949) 650-7793 makes sure there is room for your pieces.
- Prepare your items. Dust and vacuum furniture before it arrives so it is ready for the showroom floor.
- Plan your delivery. Movers are available in-store on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to help unload. Our sales staff cannot lift heavy items, so for larger pieces you may want to hire one of the independent movers listed on our getting items to the gallery page.
Consignments run on a 90-day contract with a 50/50 split. Prices are set based on uniqueness, popularity, condition, provenance and the current going price, and they follow a gradual reduction schedule over the contract period. You can check on your account by phone or email after the first 30 days. For the full details, including what happens to unsold items, read our consignment terms before you bring anything in.
What Hasn’t Changed
A new address does not mean a new philosophy. The consignment store Costa Mesa and Newport Beach shoppers rely on is still a BBB A-rated business that has served Orange County for more than 14 years. We still apply interior design skills to showcase every piece so it sells quickly and at a better price. And we still believe that buying quality pre-owned furnishings is one of the smartest ways to furnish a beautiful home.
